Anybody ever try to use roller blades as a sulky?

Do you mean wearing a pair or mounting the wheels on a sulky or are you just joking?

Wearing them...

Its a real wacky concept, just wondering if anyone has ever tried it.

It might work? Problem is taking them on/off.

Kids now can buy shoes with wheels hidden in the soles, the wheels pop out and you can skate, they retract so you can walk.

The rollerblade sulky idea is just for fun.

you could maybe try using a mountain board as a sulky. they are like a skateboard made for coming down mountain paths and stuff. I hope you are kidding:D

Wouldnt the small wheels just put tiny ruts all over the lawns?

Not a cool idea. For one their would be ruts in the lawn, two you could get sprained ankles or have sore ankles by the end of the day, three would be time consuming to take off and on to walk around and trim. Rollerblades arent the most safe on pavement and when you get off pavement they mostly dont roll anywhere.
Just seems like a bad idea and a dangerous one at that, its good for kicks and giggles but thats about it

PS-I do know how to rollerblade on pavement but my ankles get sore after an hour.

why don't you try it one day and let us know who it works out. ;)

The mountain board idea sounds better. The small wheel mentioned above would be tough to stay on your feet.

I think it would be a good workout, maybe a new fitness craze...Lawn Blading, or Lawn boarding.

Back to the drawing board.

i tryed my old skate board once it was pretty sweet... turning got to be a little tricky! mountain roller blades would work really good though i imagine. and trimming would go that much quicker. i guess it would be like shoveling a drive way with hockey skates on. it could work. :)

I've used them to fly around a SD I maintained with my trimmer in hand to take care of all the mailboxes/signs and roadside curbs that needed trimming. Even used the backpack blower this way. Very productive! I've been on skates for over 30 years playing hockey and speedkating, so it came natural.

I did it one time for S & G In my driveway when my brothers kids were visiting. It was fun for awhile until the skates went out from under me. The kids got a kick out of it so it served it's purpose.
