Newbie Pricing help

I am just starting out and trying to establish myself. I am also hoping this will lead to a biweekly customer.

How much would you charge for about 700 sq. feet of area that is overgrown and needs to be cut down. Probably has been cut all season so the grass is matted with some old clippings left on top from last season.

The customer wants the old grass removed and mowed a few times. I am figuring 2 hours of work but it will definitely beat up my equipment.

We tend to charge $70 two man labor hour so I would halve that to $35 per hour for one man plus fuel and any other costs you think you have.

I was right on track then. I charged $85. I took me just around 2 hours to complete and I disposed of the clippings for free.
I am still hoping to land some regular mows with the customer but I should find out more this week.
