Acclaim and Drive should do the trick. Drive is fairly cheaper I would go that route if I was you.

Drive wont kill Dallisgrass. Around here on cool season grass anyway it would be Roundup.

thanks man, will have to be careful with Roundup. spot spraying directly on the dallisgrass i guess would be the way to go...

You have other options for warm season turf but they all require at least 2 spot apps at about 14 to 21 days apart. Round-up is the cheapest and quickest way to spot spray it out but you better be very careful and communicate to the home owner before they start to see the "bomb" sights all over their yard. If it is just small clumps save yourself some money and dig out with shovel then make area level with little sand like repairing golf divot. Just my 2

that's the problem... i have several customers that are inundated with these two...

no one is complaining, especially not me. that are not irrigated and these two weeds are keeping me active on my crap yards...

but i do appreciate your comments.

thanks :waving:

EDIT: now my parents yard has some of these also, so i might try and help them out if they would like...

i have had some luck with celsius at the full rate with a little MSO. tried it out for the first time on my own lawn. its been 2 weeks since i spot sprayed.. the dallisgrass is definetly dying. I hate the yellowing, but it bounces back after a few weeks. I water atleast one time a week if there is no rain, that seems to help some. it worked for me on the crabgrass as well so far, heard alot of guys on here saying it didn't work that great for crabgrass though.

Celsius alone will not kill Dallis. In fact, I've yet to discover anything outside of glyphosate that will kill it off. I've done them all. Four apps 10 days apart. It still comes back.

I have noticed the same thing. I haven't tried Celsius/Revolver in the Fall yet(as the label recommends but I tried it a few weeks back. It halted growth and turned leaf tips a little purple but other than that, the Dallisgrass is doing wonderfully.

When I can no longer use the stockpile of MSMA I have in my posession, there will some folks that come onboard with "sh!t" lawns that will be in for a rude awakening...

As it stands right now, there is no viable replacement for MSMA IMO.

Maybe I just need to resort to stealing "clean" lawns from my competition

At the last CEU class I went to Dr McAfee, same guy that put together the weed pics I posted, said Tech High (Texas Tech) was testing a new herbicide that was doing great on Dallisgrass. Ted, I sure hope something makes it on the market before I am out of MSMA also but since I only have around 2 gallons left I think I will be in for a couple years of waiting.

yeah, i have been waiting for it to come back.. the guy at JDL said it works with multiple apps, as well as few of the other guys in there buying stuff. i wanted to see for myself. still, i like celsius so far. as far as dallisgrass i've had better luck with just a shovel. early in the season on my front yard, i just dug it out every week, eventually there was none. i just got it in my backyard real bad. i notice that alot of lawns in my area treated by trugreen have dallisgrass, they don't even try to get rid of it.

how about tribute? its labeled for it, is that out yet? i think that is the new one, i just googled and started reading the label. http://www.kellysolutions.com/erenewals/documentsubmit/KellyData%5COK%5Cpesticide%5CProduct%20Label%5C432%5C432-1519%5C432-1519_Tribute_Total_4_11_2012_12_29_19_PM.pdf
