First North Carolina does not require posting signs. I do them in part for advertisment, protection from people tracking, and to notify the customer that something was done. They are just generic Pesticide application... please stay off signs with my name, phone, and web address.

I got to thinking about doing different signs for different apps. Maybe have a herbicide application, insect or grub application, fungicide application or lime application.

It may be more trouble than its worth and i'm not sure I want thousands of each. But I was thinking today... what if I do a lime app on a weedy lawn and put my sign out. I don't want people seing my sign and then not seeing weeds die.

What you think?

there is one thread on here where someone had one regular sign, and then one that said something like "lawn under repair.." i think thats a great idea for those crap lawns your trying to whip back into shape, and if a neighbor walks by and sees that sign, then they might understand that its a work in progress.

I think its a great idea. I was thinking about this same thing today. Got a crappy lawn that the last guy "nuked" the crabgrass with round-up and left dead areas all over. Working to clean up the weeds and repair the bare spots. Hope neighbors will see my results and want my services.

Staple a business card to each sign. And maybe a discount coupon.
Your company name and such things are prohibited in Michigan.

I print up different signs. I just make them myself in publisher and send them to a print shop to have them done.

Then there is no vague area where the client is wondering what you actually did.
