Have a customer that insists on spraying before seeding. When exactly is the CG going to die, first frost? Won't the majority of the other weeds die out as well?

First. Read your label it will tell you every thing you need to know.
Some products call for 3-4 weeks before seeding.

I have read the label, several times. More concerned about how much longer CG will be around.

Crabgrass slows way down and turns a purplish red color after a temp of about 40 degrees. Seldom grows much after that. Its mature. Good grass begins to come up through crab.
If you spray with a quinclorac-containing product, crabgrass is mostly brown after about 7 days.
Interval before seeding is 7 days--they way I read the label. You can probably cheat a bit even in that case. See my seeding after herbicide tests from last year.
