Cement Screws

I am using Cement Screws to ancor a shed I built to the concrete slab below. Do I have to pre drill holes?

You shouldn't have to pre-drill the holes as long as you got a heavy-duty drill to help out. IMO, I would have installed lag screws upside in the concrete while it was still wet and drill a hole in the bottom plate for it and just washer and nut it. But you can't really do that if it's an existing concrete pad.

I would use concrete anchors instead of screws,like 3/8 or so,drill a hole set it in use a washer and nut and as you tighten the nut,the anchor expands,much stronger than the screws and not to expensive.JMO,BTW,we always drilled a pilot hole just to make it easier put you don't have to.

If they are Tap-con screws (the blue ones) you need to pre drill. If you buy a box of them, it comes with a bit.

Use a hammer drill, tapcons are stong but We use a threaded stud that you drive in the hole , you cant pull it out

Just Weld it to the cement slab - whoops, sorry I thought this was the welding forum.

Ok there isn't a way to weld concrete, but did you know there is a cutting torch for concrete? It is one bad mo fo! It,s on a long pipe so the operator can stay back, way back.
