My Red Max trimmer has a black rubber grip which leaves my hand looking like a auto mechanic by the end of the day. When the grip becomes wet from sweat it rubs off black residue really bad.
Never had this problem with other trimmers before. I've tried tape on the handle and it eventually wears off and no I don't want to go around wearing a glove all day. Any other Rex Max users out there have the same problem? Anyone got a suggestion besides changing to a different grip?

Try keeping a roll of cloth athletic tape on hand. I've used it before for other things. Also the foam pipe insulation available at hardware and home stores works well for handle bases. That's what I use to replace my Gravely 3 wheeler handles with.
