Wat ever u can get them for 250. Use the toro dealer in Athens al. It includes new blades and two new baffles and it works great.

You need the full mulch kit with wavy blades if you are trying to block off the discharge permanently. The full kit has baffles that go around each blade.

If you just put a plate on you will get a trail of clippings on the discharge side as each blade is throwing all the clippings that way, hence the full kit with the baffles. I found I had to slow way down with a full kit, so went with the OCDC it lets me keep clippings where I want them and not in flower beds or driveways.

Well if I install the kit how well will it side discharge? And will it leave "stringers"?

I've never tried running a mulch kit minus the plate. I doubt it would do very good.

On a toro 48 inch mulch kit you can' t remove the side discharge plate without removing half of the baffles. They are made together. On plate baffles a blade and a half. The other does the same plus the discharge cover is made onto it.

Made one from some scrap plywood this morning, it does what I need it to do.
I find some steel and make me a real nice one.

Thanks for the tip.
