Does anyone know how deep the deck is on the trimstar? I'm thinking of buying one but want to avoid the clogging issues with a shalow deck.
Thanks.

Go to the Hustler website and pull up the specs on the Trimstar they say the deck is 4" deep.

Ouch! Those controls look super cool and easy to use though...

Should be able to pick one up for under $5k though, but still that's a lot for a 36 inch mower.

It's a hydro. The control system is a bit different. It's like a motorcycle-type handlebar throttle for each wheel.

I have the 54" and love it. Got 1400hrs on it in 3 seasons. Deck cuts better than I thought it would being a semi-residential deck.

We run a 36" trimstar with the 15hp kaw and that thing is unstoppable. My guys prefer the trimstar controls over the pistols and exmark's ecs controls. We do notice that it will clump (not clog) with the fast spring growth, though that tends happens too all of our mowers in the spring if you are not bagging.

Each grip isn't independent of each other. Fwd & back is the same on both sides. Which is nice cause you can run it one handed when needed.

I initially bought a Exmark ( great cut) and hated the ESC so bad I traded for a Hustler. Best control system out there. That said I have never tried a Scag w/ the V handle or whatever it is.
