Hey guys,
Its been leave season here in georgia for a couple of weeks now and I have ran into a problem with leave removal. Its taking to long and wanted to get some input on different ways to get the job done. Here in my area, typically there is always a place to blow leafs into the woods on properties. We picked up a pretty big and wooded commercial lot over the summer and this is the first season dealing with the leaves. There is plenty of woods on the property to blow the leaves into but the area is so big that we would be blowing all day long and by the time we got to the woods there is no telling how big the pile would be!! so this is my options that I can think of

1.wait until the parking lot is empty and blow them into smaller piles and drive the truck around and pick them up.
2. blow them into piles on a tarp and drag them to the woods
3. blow them out of the beds and suck them up with a bagger and dump the clippings in the woods or take them with me on the truck.
4. Blow them out of the beds and just mulch them into the lawn(probably to many to mulch, plus I dont think it looks as nice)

any other options you guys have?? we dont have a "leaf truck" with one of those billygoat things because we never really would use it...well maybe I would now LOL
Thanks

I have a property like this and I much what I can. Then wind row the rest all the way to the woods. Forward and then backwards. Takes a little bit, but clean ups are charged hourly.

I would blow them into big piles and then use a JRCO rake infront of a ZTR and push them to the woods.

in a situation like that I would make a pass with my mower to mulch things up a bit then blow everything into the woods. mulching first would decrease the size of the pile.

or you could side discharge everything into the woods.

Do yourself a favor and get a full mulch kit with blocker plate and gators that in combination with a blower is all you need, one pass foward and one pass backwards and your done, if you've got a ton of leaves just give it a very slow final buff pass. Anything left can be dispursed with the blower, our jobs look like there were never any leaves there.

We have exmark riders with the triton decks...think that will do ok? We don't mulch/bag anything thru the season, and usually I can just blow everything but not this property.
