View Full Version : Fradan LV 14RS Leaf Vacuum help

I understand bigger is better, however, I'm setting up a portable leaf vacuum system and at 225 lbs, 14hp Subaru engine, this seems like an ideal machine. Does anybody have any experience with this machine? Thank you

I understand the Little Wonder 14hp truckloader is also 225 lbs but it has an 8" intake vs 10" on the Fraden, doesn't have a tailgate mount like the Fradan, and unless I'm reading it wrong does not have a replaceable liner like the Fradan.

Iv replaced liners 2 perhaps 3 times in 10 years its a nice feature. It also doubles the steel and that makes the vac heavier. So that makes me wonder how they would be the same weight. That said 10 inch intake over 8 inch is a no brainer. 78.5 square inches is going to clog less than 50.24 square inches the 2 inch difference is huge.

Specs say 225lbs for both. I've been investigating further and found there are 3 mounts for the Little Wonder and it uses a 4ply conveyor belt lining that they also use on the 22 and 27hp models.

How is the suction on the 14hp? I don't expect super fast speed, just adequate and operational is fine.

I do not know the suction I am sure you could look up the specs and find the cfms which is the measurement of suction on vacs. I don't own a fradan vac I have a pair of 20 hp giant vac vacs I was just answering the parts of your questions that I felt qualified to answer.

Thx for the info. I'm sure it or the Little Wonder will be sufficient for what I'm doing.
