What is the level of difficultly in replacing the non-towing "paddle" style mirror on
the 99-07 F-Series, Im looking at getting a F250 or 350 and I hate the non tow mirrors, not sure if that option alone will be a deal breaker.
Thanks for any insight

I did it on mine and it was a super simple job. I have a 2006 Ford F250. All I had to do was remove the black triangular molding near the corner of the window. If my memory serves me right there were rubber plugs covering where the nuts went. Remove the rubber plugs and like Monroe said there are 4 bolts that you take off then throw the new ones on. I didn't have to remove the door panel on my truck. I doubt you will have to remove any wiring unless your paddle mirrors are heated or are electric or something. Mine had no power run to the mirrors. It's literally a 15 minute job per side.

Sweet thanks. Would it be a bear to add power/lights to each side if this was not a option?

Got me. My guess is the lights are probably grouped together with some accessory option. Probably not as easy as popping a door panel and finding a plug would be my guess. If you know a little bit about wiring it might not be all that hard though. Probably could just tap into the turn signal wiring. I would have loved to add the ones with the blinkers in them. The one thing I wish I would have doen is used POR15 to paint the mirror tubes. On the set I got (which were aftermarket) they hold a little water where the mirror extends in and out. I've already sandblasted and painted the arms once.

Youll have to wire separately. Good luck
