New 36" Mower

What would be you choice for a new 36&quot; gear driven walk behind? Im trying to stay around $2000 or under. Any ideas? Thanks<p>Youngster

If you can somehow get 400 to 6oo dollars more you can get a brand new gear drive of most makes. I would demo some of the different walkbehinds and see which one you <br>like the best. You could also look in the classifieds and find a good used one from 1000 to 1800. Check spindles etc. Check the search feature for more on this topic. Type in used, walkbehinds, or something related and there should be a wealth of info. Hope this helps.

Go with a SCAG I love mine. I picked it up used a few years ago for $1500 with only half a season on it. I've heard that Ferris makes a very nice machine too.
