So many guys have customer headaches, I just gotta mention da judge. He's long retired, well into 80's, and hard nosed like a judge should be. Every time I come, he has to come out and bug me about something: what is that strange grass there? Is the water running enough?(I program the irrigation) How can we keep the neighbor's weeds from invading? What to do about the surface tree roots on the silver maple? and dozens of others.
But if he doesn't come out, I have to ring the bell to wake him from a nap, because I'd sure miss his banter and comments. Only been doing this for 20 years, so it would hard to change.
He got me the best last winter. I had run the snowblower over the drive & walks, and headed around back with shovel and sand to clear back porch steps. There on the top step were 2 Butterfinger candy bars. (He likes his chocolate as much as I like mine.) I still have to grin about that one every week I'm there, and yes, I do check the top step each week.
Long live da judge. And Mrs judge, too!!
