Go to the left hand side of their website and click where it says "proslide". This will give you a picture and details of the apparatus.

I watched the video. I like the automatic raising feature. Step off, and the platform goes up.

I have been using one for 4 years now and I must say it is very impressive. I would never go back to a wheeled sulky.

Hi guys I was always told you had to step off of it during turns but in the video they show standing on it while turning. It makes sense you could but if you had to step off all the time it would be a big pain. How does it do on hills? I think I would stick to my trailering sulky for hills. Has the least influence on the mower compared to a proslide or castering sulky.

Why would you have to get off during turns? Only to back up.

Are you speaking from experience with the Proslide? Didn't think so. On slight inclines it is fine. Too steep and it tends to pull up the front of the deck.

We have run exclusive Pro Slides since they came out. Purchased a total of 13 complete units. 9 are still operational. Others just had to many repairs. Will never use anything else. Love em! Number one complaint is they break at several key points. We have begun re-inforcing them as soon as we get them. Bare in mind. We have 3 - 3 man crews of all types. Heaviest member weighs 238 lbs. His breaks most often. Typically, with you being a one man operation, I expect you can get through an entire season with only minor problems. Replacing springs will most likely be your biggest one. Good news is they are cheap and easy to replace. Second biggest gripe is the wear plate. They do not last near what the manufacture says they will. This is mainly due to the fact that we do not step off the units while crossing hard surfaces. I've tried to get the guys to cooperate but as soon as you leave, off they go down the street. Sufice to say we have made other arrangements for our particular case. Any way, A small outfit will really like these units and NO you do not have to step off to turn. My guys nearly never ever step off. Even while loading on trailer. Only time you would need to step off is of coarse backing up. ( You can back up a few inches though and not step off if you get into a corner ) and on steep hills. You CAN run this unit on hills. If you can keep your body on the unit, it will work fine. Rule of thumb. Honestly, it is easier to walk on a steep hill than to try and stay on the unit. One word of sincere and potential shin busting advice. DO NOT GO DOWN HILL WHILE STANDING ON UNIT UNLESS YOU DRAG ONE LEG ON GROUND BEHIND YOU. I gaurentee the only way to learn this is to not follow adivice. OUCH! Good luck in 2003.:blob3: :blob4: :blob1:
