James wins!!!! I grew up in Montana and I hate the cold. You far northern folks are tough birds to be able to put up with those temps.

Feel kinda bad saying - it was 72 here today - we broke out the short sleeves.
We have a front coming thru gonna make us drop back down in the 50's.

-40 typical in Jan. but we've got the wind chill factor, too. North winds here come from outer space.

My favorite weather predictor, Joe Bastardi, says a very frigid mid-February in the Northeast and Midwest U.S. followed by a mild March.

Tim, I wasn't the pilot. But my daughter was sitting next to him. We fly here if it's above -50, and the runway is visible. Some days they circle for a bit and have to return to Fairbanks if they can't land, 3 hours round trip (hahaha). Fly-in only, no roads.
