Anyone else on here actually from So Cal? I'm from the Inland Empire area and am looking to network with other guys near me. Looking to swap info on the better local suppliers to use, what products you've found work for our area best, etc.

Networking in South Orange County California. I Had a lawn care business in Riverside for 10 years but sold it last year. I'll be needing all equipment and accounts soon...so if ya know anybody looking to sell let me know. Planning on breaking ground in January. Also looking to learn from my own mistakes as well as others thats why I joined this site today. A strong desire to succeed and grow from a solo op into a small-medium landscape contractor within 5 years with 2 or more crews!

I wonder if anyone from South California area could maybe help me. I am trying to estimate the average square footage for turf area of lawns in Southern California... LA and within 100 miles of there.
I know it varies but if you had to guess over an average of 200,000 lawns...what would be your guess of average sq ft of turf area? Im trying to figure out the average size lawn being replaced as part of the Lose the Lawn programs in that area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your consideration.

I forgot to ask.... what is the average price folks are typically paying for bagged colored mulch in the LA and 100 miles around area? I see it ranges all over the place on the internet but I also understand that reality is sometimes different.
I am seeing from 3.50 at Big Box stores to 5.95 at smaller independents...
Thanks again for any insights.
