postcardwarehouse.com 5000 doorhanges with on side full color for less than $300, hard to beat that. Go to the elements of business and you will find a half a dozen threads that are active on this subject.

The above price sounds good if you want to buy that many. We buy them for $42 for 500 at our local printer. We have passed out about 500 so far this last week and are getting several calls. These are by far the best advertising for us. We plan on passing out a few hundred a week until March and then 1000 or so during the first week of March.

I just bought 2500 full color 2 sided business cards from postcardwarehouse.com and I'm working on my door hangers now. They seem to be a good company and the prices and help are really good. Funny thing, I used to live down
the street from them!

Precision,

I read your hanger and have a question for you about being awarded the ground maintenance contract for you community. Is this for a gated community or a development?

Just curious.

No offense, but just sounds like a simple sales pitch to me.

None taken walker talker. The reason I ask is that I was thinking of using a similar pitch with a development that I am looking to bid on. The bid covers the main office and the fence line. The rest of the homes would be extras. I was just checking to see if he had come up with the pitch for the same reason or was just using it as a general pitch.

on the door hangers are you designing it or are they. there prices are pretty cheap for 1 sided full color door hangers. I would like to get some and so far these guys look like they have the best prices.

You can design your own but, they have a designer on staff. It costs extra by the hour for that, I think $65 but the way I've seen them work it shouldn't take more than one if you even need it. I had a basic logo and they helped me incorporate that into a very nice business card for just the setup fee $25. My business cards were $89+$25 for setup + $20 for shipping and handling. I thought the s+h was high but the overall deal is a good one I believe. $134 for 2500 full color, two sided business cards. I've also found a local guy for my signs. He works with vinyl and also does custom paint. He's had some custom bikes on magazine covers. He does a lot of airplanes too. email me if anybody is interested in vinyl signs. I'm getting several made for my trailer and also for my truck, including one for the back glass.

Precision, do us a favor and keep track of the response and close rate you get from those doorhangers and keep us posted.

I for one am interested in how these type of doorhangers compare to regular fliers as far as the response they get.

I will be using left over fliers that I had made up last year but didn't distribute (had 2k printed, only put out about 100).
I'll be keeping close track of response and posting results later in the year.

My business cards are only two shades of green in keeping with my logo and ease of printing other stuff. My understanding is they're full color based on looking at their examples on their website. Check out www.postcardwarehouse.com

There are Homeowner Assoc. properties. I am doing all the grass and bed care for the common areas. I am already there making money so I am trying to increase my revenue by targeting the homeowners. These are new homes on small lots it takes one man 15-20 min to mow, trim and blow. I have several of these properties so that's why there isn't a community name on the flier. I hope to get 2-4%. I'll keep you posted on the response.

I will have to agree with walker talker for doorhangers. They might be a little more expensive but well worth the money. They do an excellent job and I would recommend getting 5000 rather then 2500 because the price is only $100 more for twice the amount. Good luck!

The door hangers from www.postcardwarehouse.com defintely look more professional, but they are costly, to me anyway. You get what you pay for though. Minimum order is 2500. I dont want that many. I just want around 500. Nebs doorhangers are nice, but simple, with no pics, just text. They are professional but not catchy at all. Anyone have any good luck with using nebs doorhangers?

I really don't care much for the NEBS hanger because it looks more like a bookmark you'd get when you buy a book. Here's what I plan to do: I'm gonna find another business to co-op the other side of the hanger. I have a friend that owns a pest control company and he'll have one side of the hanger and I'll have the other. This way, you can split the cost and the distribution.

That's a great idea Tony!

Thanks, I thought it was too. My reasoning was, two ads gave me a 50% better chance of the hanger being kept. Plus all of the financial and distribution benefits. I actually got the idea from a TGCL brochure. As you know, they're owned by SERVICE MASTER which owns several other businesses. On the back of their trifold brochure they had coupons for their other businesses. We can learn about marketing from marketing companies I guess.
