Getting started in Dallas, TX

I was just hoping some of you guys that are in this area can tell me what I need to get started in Dallas. I am just trying to get a small side business going. If it grows into something bigger then that is great.

1) I need to know if mowing lawns is a taxable service in Texas.
2) Any ideas or thoughts on how to get started in Dallas, TX.

Yes it is Taxable in the state of Texas. I Mow in the Garland, Richardson, Far North Dallas area.
