What if you are going over a sidewalk won`t it scrape or do you have to lift the deck every time you go over one?

No you don't have to lift it up because it has adjustments of 3\8" increments and you set it about 1\2" - 3\4" clearance from the ground.

Since you have to remove the anti-scalping rolls does the mower have a tendancy to scalp? Does anyone out there use this thing, and can you verify that it works? I am interested in getting better stripes out of my Lazer also. I have tried the double blade set-up, worked well but you have to be very careful around sidewalks or anything that sticks up a little.

Yes I have one on my 60" & 72" eXmarks and they do hold up. I've had them on since May and haven't had any problems with them yet.
