I use the 19-3-7 and have great results from it. I use a liquid program for all other treatments but use granular 19-3-7 and liquid 3-way and liquid iron in this treatment. I just feel this is the best combo for this app.

I make my second application in April here in NC, and I have no crabgrass and few weed issues. How well does it work?

exmarkrunner,
Put it down by soil temperature!!!!!!
Best lesco product??? Loaded question!! What are the clients turf needs? What is the grassy weed pressure? Turf dense or thin? Need to correct any soil nutrient deficiencies? How long of control needed? Consider the amount of root prunning that will occur! How will this product fit into your program?
Now you can better determine which product is best!
Study, research, read labels, think, and draw an educated conclusion.
No one can answer for you, many products for different needs, thats why their are many products to choose from!

XMark:
Most of the midwest can get good results using Pre-M through
Mid April. If it's exceedingly warm, that gets bumped back earlier.
If you are in the Southern portions of the Midwest, you may want
to apply early April or even March.
19-3-7 offers .75 lbs. of Nitrogen per 1000 sq.ft. which should
sustain growth through April and well into May. If you did the
heavy Late Fall fertilizer Dump of Urea or other high nitrogen product, you may consider going to a lower nitrogen or no
nitrogen product for the early Spring. 13-2-5. 5-10-20 or
0-0-7 are some alternatives.

Consider this and see how it will work for you.
Use a pre emerge with .75 to 1 lbs of n/m. should have as much crn as possible. May be apply about same amount of sulfate of potash for summer stess, small amount of fe helpful also.
overseed in fall
2/3 n in fall
soil temp for crab germination is 55 degress at a 3" depth for 3 consecutive days at sunrise. Temp should be in a sunny location with your worst turf density.
I would applw fert/pre-emerge earlier if applying higher n to increase density
Note, pre-emerge control grassy weed, some control(pre) few broadleaf
