Clean up Questions

hey this is my first year in the business. for clean ups were they have willow trees or other "dirty" trees where there are many sticks which have fallen over winter. How is the best way to clean this up? it would ruin the mower blades to hit the sticks right? i have a 2 exmark walkbehinds w/ baggers but will i damage the mower? do i have to rake?

Whats the going rate for clean up per hour?

Depends how thick the sticks are :D Anything 3/8" and less I would chop up. Yea it might dull your blades but I'd rather sharpen them than pick up all the sticks... you may want to try going over the leaves once without the catcher to reduce the bulk and then put catcher on and go over it. It will cut down your dumping alot and save alot of space. Gator blades are said to be a great help in leaves also.
