Spring Clean Ups

We are just finishing up delivering 11k flyer's.

Our flyer's advertise the usual services and spring clean ups.

This is the first year we listed spring clean ups and we have already received 15 phone calls for clean ups.

We are charging $25.00 a man hour

Ex. 3 man crew 2 hrs of labor = 6 Man Hours ($150)
Ex. 1 Man Crew 1 Hr labor = 1 Man Hour ($25)

Our Clean Ups Include

Cleaning up the lawn and landscape areas
Mowing the lawn
Edging and Trimming
And Blow Clean

This is all bigged @ $25.00 a man hour.

We have a signed contract with all 15 people that called so far. They were very happy with the price and signed up.

We will start our clean ups April 1st (Cant start any sooner because of landscape disposal policy with Garbage co)

My question is?
Is $25 a man hour a good rate or is it to low.

Too low. I don't know what you area market will pay, but I feel that price is not high enough, especially if you have to pay dump fees out of that too. I'd try for at least $30-35/hr guy.

It all depends on what your market will bear and what your overhead is. That is very low for my area. Best of luck to you and try and sign those spring cleanup customers into year round contracts.

I just did my first clean-up at 25/hr... I gave him the hourly rate, having no idea how long it might take.

Do it once and judge for yourself, but I'm now going to use more like 30 - 35/hr, estimate hours, and then just tell the customer what the total is.

I'm glad I only told one person that 25 rate. Hate to pay for that mistake more than once!

I just did one cleanup that took 1 hr and 10 min. I charged $50- the only reason I did this is because I knew it wouldn't take very long because the yard is only about 6,000 S.F.

I usually try to get at least $35 hr

We Just Put It Out At The Curb On OUR Trash Day and They Take it

To low here that's for sure. I have seen 40-50 per man hour around here.
