Crushed Lawn!!!

CRUSHED LAWN!!!

This looks like a professionals site, so maybe i stumbled into the right door. My neighbor, bless him, spent the winter missing his
driveway and turned about 3ft (x 8 ft) of my lawn into a flat track of dirt/mud/soil....what do I do to fix this? (how do i even know what kind of grass this is?)

First of all I would put up some sort of barrier to keep the neighbor from driving on your lawn. Rake and loosen the soil up real well and even out the ruts. If you can't loosen the soil you could put a layer of topsoil down. Then spread seed, maybe a fescue/rye blend, then put some fertilizer on, put straw on top and keep moist. Good luck.
