Help- Sod Job Pricing

Have a sod job of 5,000 sqr ft.

TOTAL COST FOR SOD, MACHINE RENTAL AND FERTILIZER
IS 1,500.00

WOULD LIKE 2 HELPERS WITH ME SO FIGURING 2 DAYS
LABOR CHARGE 1,250.00

TOTAL cost of job $2,750

Does this sound reasonable?? Never done a job this size

are you using a machine to lay the sod or lay rolls by hand? I just layed a green at the golf course today. It was 4000 square feet. and a 2000' square foot putting green. we started at 7 and were rolling it in by 2 this afternoon. We used a track installtion machine using 300' rolls. If layin by hand i can not give you a time stimate but if useing a machine of some kind the i would cut your time in half. Thanks Josh

Sod delivered would be on pallets and in squares. Machine would be used to transport sod to laying location.

ok i see where you get your amout of labor from now. your price seems good to me. I always try and get 30 a man hour and you a little bit lower than that. Are you making anything on the sod or do you just have it igured into the labor. All in all i think that is a good price.
