If you don't already have a subscription to Turf Magazine, go click on the upper right corner to get one. In the near future, you will be wishing you had one and wondering what we are all talking about. This is all I can or will say for now. It's a great magazine. :)

I get it too. It's an OK trade journal. There are usually some pretty decent articles on golf course stuff that can apply to the commercial mower. Their "buyers guide" sections are bogus! There is nothing more than a brief blurb on different companys products, and the number to circle on the insert card to recieve more info. Nothing else??!! They could definately do a way better job in this area. On the other hand, I learned about this site in it. And that was a very good thing.
Here are the free magazines that I get, Turf, Pro, Athletic Turf, Landscape Management, Grounds Management, and Landscape and Irrigation. I think thats it.

Thanks Eric! I get Pro and Turf, but not the others. We had this discussion about a month ago I remember now. I ordered the GM mag a FEW months ago, but never got it. I'll have to try it again.

I have been recieving Turf for close to 2 years now. I think that it is a helpful magazine, even though there so-called buyers guides are just advertising. The best thing to come out of Turf magazine-- the link to Lawnsite.

Anyone who needs help with a TURF subscrption can call 1-800-422-7147.
Depending on when you sign up, up to 60 days to wait for a first issue is not out of the question. If you've waited three months, something's not right.

I have to say I'm a bit surprised at the comments on our Buyers Guides. Most feedback we get on them is positive.
I'm glad to get some not-so-positive opinions.
You might say they are "just advertising" (though they are NOT paid for, and we include every company we know of, NOT just those who advertise in TURF), but if you are in the market for a piece of equipment you need to know what's available.
What we're trying to do with them (and, if you've noticed, several of the other magazines in the green industry have started to flatter us by copying the format) is present product specific information in a concise manner. That way, when you find yourself in the market for a new (for example) walk behind mower, you have all of the manufacturers in one, easy to browse guide. Our hope is that this simplifies the research you have to do.
Any ideas for how we could improve these Guides?
