:dizzy: WOW tried a new marketing idea it worked 93 calls 2 days
and more coming in daily. last few years have had verry minimual accounts over the last couple of years. I have looked at alot of the properties nothing to time consoming or to large alot of them are middleclass to upper class many are gated areas and all are of them are bunched into the areas that I chose. I currentyly have the funds for the equiptment I was thinking to get started with all of this work I have recieved I will go with 2 36" toro prolines or 2 exmarks I plan on Demoing both wich would you pefer and is this a smart purches considering the size of yards we are doing please post your thoughts about this. This is going to be a great year.

Was it your newspaper insert? What'd you say, to get their attention so well? Any lawn 19.99? Fifth mowing for free?

I like Exmark because of the ECS, I'm not a fan of the T-Bar. Didn't like it and it felt a little unstable to me. I'm dying to hear how you got that many calls! Please share!

It was the news paper ads and I did offer a fith free cut cupon but the funny thing is that almost no one asked about it I even had one lady say that she saw it and would not even want to use it if we do a good job.

thank you

Ronnie,

Good Job, if you back out sleep time, you were getting a call every 20 mins for 2 days straight from your newspaper ad. Ive never heard of that kind of success. And you say they are still coming. Has the frequency slowed for some strange reason or are you still getting a call every 20 mins. With this trend and at that frequency youll have 336 this weeks end and 1344 by the end of the Month.

Let us know how it turns out

ronnie Greenwood

No they have slowed down alot but I am still taking maybe 3-4 calls a day

actualy no I dont!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

with that many calls you could limit your gate fee to 35. You should have have enough people to experiment on biding. You should bid high and if they dont take it just go a little lower on the next one. this sounds like a great opportunity to start a great business. just dont underbid or you will hate yourself later. i would also go with the exmark, they are great machines.

I'm a little confused.....

You advertised in the local newspaper and you received 93 calls in two days.

Do you have any equipment?

Do you have any experience?

Have you called all 93 people back and actually have contracts and work orders?

License and insured?

Are you just starting out?

I'm sorry.... I'm a little skeptical...

WOW.....that's more calls than most doctors get during flu season.

Post a copy of your ad for us will you?

That is an unbelievable return on your investment! Looks like you will need to get some newer/bigger equipment soon to service all of these additional accounts. How many of the 93 calls did you get to sign a contract?

Not too hard to beleive. First I looked just the other day in my local Suburban Paper to see how many lawn care ads their where.... 5!!!!!!! All in a paper that haS a high circulation to almost all of Chicago Suburbs. 5 ads for 1 million potential customers?

Sounds like you got a great response rate.

You really should post your advertisement to help others.

And if this is not true or there are other circumstances behind it please let us know.

A couple of questions:

What is the population of the city that you live in?
What type of route density are you getting or are your jobs all over the place?

to who dont believe this will not work dont try it thats your problem not mine this is no joke I think I stumbled across an idea not to many people try and belive me or not it worked. I spent a total of around $750 to do this wich is nothing for this amount of calls. and yes I have did this work befor this is what I do and no I do not have the top of the line equiptment but is coming piece by pice as I am sure this is how most of you funded your operation right monday morning I am Going to get an issurence policy and my business license and then I will try to lease my new equiptment purcheses I have set up estimet dates for all of these people and I have already talked to most of them and I have plenty of help as needed most of them verry trustworthy like I said to the people who dont believe i dont care actually I do becouse everyone is thinking that I am lieyng I think I am on a sucsesful path to a legal business and I would be more than happy to tell people how I did it if you were to e mail me

ronnie Greenwood

populating I belive is around 300,000 and I have sighned a pretty good percentage of my people and my rout density is pretty good becouse I choose were I wanted them sent

By route desnsity, I was talking about your accounts(lawn jobs). How far are they from each other. Not where you distributed your ads.

Sorry for not being clear.

For those of you that fish as well as care for lawns...there is a fishing technique known as "trolling".

It would appear that the method is being used here, with some success.

I have got a foolproof way of organizing quotes and customers. It is so good, you'll wonder why you didn't think of it. This method keeps up with names, prices, locations, proximity to other customers, mowing frequency, grass types, extras and add-ons, and much more.
So, how did you get all those calls?

MacLawnCo,

I think both sides are having fun here. I just have one question for you guy and please don't take this wrong. Are you related to Jerry Lewis? You could pass for his kid from that picture of yourself.

Look in the mirror and say this...."Hello nice Lady" and see if you laugh. :D

djsmokin,

In reference to your tag line about your headlights working if you are going at the speed of light....

The answer is YES.
