What's the deal with the Echo 750?

The Echo 650 now comes with tube or side throttle.

The Echo 750 comes with tube or side throttle.

The Echo 750 has a larger air cleaner.

I thought the power was the same but....

I have no clue but I just bought the 750. My other problem was which throttle type did I want.

I went with the tube throttle and of course, I have no idea why.

My Echo dealer talked me out of the 750, reason - not a sufficient gain in power to warrant an upgrade from a 650. He is a large dealer and is invited to factory demonstrations and dealer shows, he saw a demo of the 650 against the 750 and the 750 won but not by much.. Big improvement in air filtration and a bit quieter.
