Just got it today, 2003 Legend 8.5' x 25' enclosed trailer, it has 20' of trailer, and 5' v-nose, 5200lb axle's, finished inside. 4 big d-rings for a auto, 13 smaller d-rings for mower/quads etc. 2 fuel doors, 2 dome lights, 3/4" wolmanized floor, its all 16" on center. 6' 8" inside height, 82"s between wheelwells. Undercoated also. Now have to letter it and buy all the goodies for the inside to hang my tools of the trade.

Nice, what kind of machines are you filling it with?

It a Telconsha, Voyager model of Brake controller, had it in my 99 150, and put it in this truck.
I have a Hustler 72" front mount, 60" Tank ztr, and a 48" hydro MTD, and a 21" Lawnboy. I figured I should be able to carry just about everything, hate it when I get to a job and need something thats still in the garage. I don't always haul the big Husler to all the jobs, only one day a week is when I haul all 3 mowers, usually just 2 mowers.

Wrinken that is one awesome trailer. What do you pull that thing with a 250 or a 350. Do you mind sharing what it cost? How hard is it to maneuver? I really like the fuel doors: that will really save you alot of time.
And the biggest thing is : When are you going to get it lettered?

2002 F-250 P/S, 373 gears, I also have air bag helpers, but in the pic only have 6 psi in them, will put about 10-20 lbs in when loaded down. Now for the big part. $6600.00 with everything. I have a circle drive which is a little on the tight side, but made it with room to spare, not much tighter than it takes my 20' trailer. I'm going to be figuring out the lettering soon, not only for the lawn business, but for the snowmobile race team also. There's alot of options on the trailer, and its really built solid. Thanks

What kind of trailer did you have before this one? Is it for sale? I might be interested it it's not all lettered up and such. By the way, very nice set-up.

I had open trailers, still have them, have a 6.5x12, and a 83"x20', but will keep them, I'll use the 20' for my kubota and its stuff.

I like it Bernie...I talked to that insurance guy and he is going to get back to me today. Thanks for the info. If you ever want to sell that 12' trailer, get ahold of me.

I'll probably keep the trailer, but make a heck of a deal on the leaf-loader :) . I just got done putting the primer on the walls, sleeting and raining here bad, got to keep busy. I'll paint it tomorrow, hopefully be getting my trimmer racks soon. As far as the floor, I'm going to let it cure out for a bit, and then put Thompson's on or equivelent on.

Wriken, great looking trailer there! Best of luck with it.
BTW, not to get too off topic, but why are you selling your leaf loader? I ask because you're the second person in the last month or so that seemed eager to get rid of thiers. Was it just the particular model you don't like, or the whole leaf loader idea just wasn't for you?
Thanks.

That pretty much tells it all, I've scaled back my operation somewhat. I have a collection system on my ztr and can dump leaves in my open trailer, I dropped about 40 clients this year, had plans and did have a box for my old f-150, to place a add and go around and suck their leaves up if they had them in a pile. Still might do it but on a smaller scale, but at this time I'm deciding what to do, keep it or place a add. I guess if someone offered me a good price that would help make up my mind.

Thanks I'll tell you what, empty it weighs about 3900lbs, but it sure don't pull like its that heavy, can't wait to get it lettered. I'm still pondering whether to get a price on a spray bedliner for it. Will put thompsons on it for sure.

How do you utilize the ramps? do you pull in using the rear door, then pull forward out of the front door? (your mowers) or do you only use the rear door? I'd think using both doors would benefit the most, even though you have to take the time to open them both.

well on my open trailer i had no side ramp on it, so to get to my 48" which I carried up front I would have to back the 60" ztr off park it go get the 48" off. That takes alot of time, I know I could have put a side ramp on the trailer, but did not or even knew if it would structurally weaken it, so I discarded that idea, plus I put temp walls on it to haul leaves etc. I also wanted the added security of the enclosed trailer, we have alot of little lakes with cabins all around them, there is alot of vandalisms up here. I got tired of backing my trailer in the garage and unhooking it etc. Now I can park it and lock it anywhere in my yard.
But to the ?, I can unload the 48" off the front, the front ramp is 60" wide I might even be able to squeeze the ztr thru it. I have'nt even had the mowers in yet still have 4-5"s of snow, but getting to 60 this weekend. When I was checking trailers out I needed on high enough so I could pull my ztr w/collection system mounted on it, lots of trailers I had to duck down alittle to even walk thru it, this one is 6'8"s and I'm 5'10", ztr with system is 66"s high.

Nice trailer, I especially like the forward facing side ramp.
My vote is for bed liner on the floor. I've used both and the bed liner holds up way better.

Did you get yours sprayed, if so how much, I just got a quote for the entire 25' and both ramps and a foot up the side. $800.00 sound pretty good? Thanks

$800 is a KILLER deal. I paid $1200 and I have a 24' with only one ramp.

Decided to just paint the trailer floor, with that grit stuff in it will post a couple pics, I run out so I'll have to get some more paint tomorrow and finish it. I put a coat of white paint on the walls also. The pic from the rear ramp did'nt come out very good, to dark, I will post more when finished.

Looks good. Anything to seal that plywood from absorbing gas and oil is better than nothing. The paint was probably alot cheaper too. You just have to re-do it every few years.
Nice job, nice trailer. You'll get many years of service from her.

I got the trailer at :
Becks Marine
7607 N. US 27
St Johns, Mi. 48879
The 800 # is 1-800-say-boat
Regular # is 989-224-6825
I asked too about the ledend trailers, he said Beck's has some company down in Indiana make them for them.
5200lb axle's=total 10400, subtract 3800 what the trailer weighs = 6600 give or take is what it will carry.
Its big but I have a circle drive and it gets around it as good as my 20' open trailer.

Curious as to why you choose the left side front ramp VS. one on the right? Seems like you really gotta watch out parking curbside.
Looks great tho.

There was no choosing about it, If it was to be ordered I would have got ramps probably on both sides, but this was in stock and took it. I will rarely use the front ramp for unloading my 48" w/b, only have 2 yards that I need it on, and one client has'nt confirm me on cutting this year, I can put my z's just about anywhere I can the W/B. Yes I wanted a curb side door, and I asked, why the road side, dealer said cuz of the possibility of a snowbank, you would'nt be able to put the ramp down or it would be ****-eyed. I will use a cone and be pretty careful about that when and if I use it. But this is a multi purpose trailer, racing team, and quad hauler:) In which that front ramp will work great.
