paver walkway problem

I have a paver walkway I am in the process of putting in. Its about half done and it got rained on (I didn't cover it) and a few of the pavers have sunk. I haven't compacted the pavers into the 1" sand base yet because the laying of the pavers isn't complete. My questions are #1 will I be okay just fixing the damaged area, and #2 how long would I expect it to take to dry, It is now covered and there are at least 3 days forecasted of rain within the next week so it doesn't look good. The base was compacted with a 5hp plate compactor every 2" and the sand was screed out properly. Ho hum, sigh!

I would try and repair the single area that was affected. When you do the final tampering you will be able to tell if it is sufficient enough. If not you will have to take up the area and tamper and rescreed the sand then tamper again. It's kinda a pain in the @ss... been there dona that. Guess you learned like me to cover with plastic. :cool:
