I recently ordered a canister air filter from me dealer, he quoted me around $170. Well, I just got a call from him and he said that they would have to install a new carberator as well, to a tune of $480. I know I heard some talk of this earlier, but I wanted to check with you guys to make sure that my dealer is correct. I am putting this filter on my 2001 Lazer Z HP 52"/23 Kaw. The serial number on the engine is FH680VA19486. There is another number on the sticker which is FH680VAF10. Not sure which one you need. Thanks for your help!

Esby,

It's possible. The spec number FH680V we were using back then was an AS-10. I'm not overly confident the Kawasaki pricing I have is correct but if it is the kit alone could run you around 500 potato’s.

I'd recommend that you have them double-check the model/spec, and contact Kawasaki again to make sure the pricing is correct. It maybe correct but it doesn't hurt to ask again.

Thanks

Terry
