Guys
Soryry to bother you again, but I have been assigned an advertising project for school.
My teacher thought it would be a good idea to go over the techniques of advertising today, and do a project :D
Well, he went around the room and asked everyone what there topic was, everyone else was like "ummmm......well.....perfume????
I just sat and chuckled. He asked me and I said landscaping, everyone else was like....whats that:confused:
Well, only 15, small minds maybe..
ANYWAY
What I need is is ANYONE had any landscaping pics (more of other work besides just lawns cut) Such as; mulch jobs, gardens, stone work. The reason I am asking is because I only cut lawns and that sort, do not do landscaping. So PLEASE post any of these pics. All are welcome, you will be credited in my school project 100%.
Lawn pics are welcome too, but I would like to see some cool landscaping ones as well.
Thanks for all your efforts. :blob3:

Here are a few... I focused on the lawn in these pics, it's at my church where there is a mowing crew and landscaping crew (volunteers). I do the mowing, other people do the landscaping. This is from last year before they worked in it this year but I think they did a good job on it.

no, no, the mowing was my part the landscaping is done by other volunteers (homeowners only, I'm the only pro in the bunch and I'm on the mowing crew)

Yeah, he meant the stripes are his, just not the generic landscaping work. By the way, BHB, THERE is an excellent candidate for a mulch job. Anyway, wher is the thread that was just here within the last couple of days that had the before and after of the mulch. THAT would be a good one for starters. Also, if you post this over in the landscape forum, I'm sure you will get much better response. Also, ask Lanelle. She has some pics of work that she has designed and done that is completely gorgeous.

U GO ERIC!!!!!
as for u baddboygeorge, Our church has practically the same type of landscaping, and I'll have u know the grass isnt even green yet!!! FYI, stuff doesnt pop up out of the ground RIGHT AFTER -20 degree weather!!! Evergreens in a landscape add color during the winter months, thats why it "sucks" right now... I'll make sure to take some pics of our church so u can see it too.

So, baddboygeorge, wheres all your "perfect" landscape pics? Are they really that perfect u have to sell them?

Did someone say green trees?? These are a pain to mow around because it's on a somewhat steep slope (not that bad except for the constant turning on a slope).

I'd like to see them, too. George, you can put a watermark on them, so no one can claim the pics as their own.

I know what cha mean there Eric, Its like that pic I posted of my Honda-Thats one tough birm to mow! the trees are RIGHT on the slope and they're a MAJOR pain to try and mow around!!!

Here it is- Imagine mowing around these!!! especially that one right behind me in the pic! U can kinda see the wheel ruts the Honda makes trying to get around them!!

Ya but my Scag gets better traction than that Honda and my slope is steeper :p

Believe me, u could NEVER mow this birm with your Scag!!! The last guy had a 38" Bunton, and He scalped it soooo bad EVERY SINGLE TIME, they had to redo sod that was just put in 2 years before that! This guy charged 25 and hit EVERY SINGLE sprinkler head at least once, LITERALLY, NO JOKE!!! So, I started replacing them one day and our pastor walked out and asked me to mow the lawn too. Practically everyone has said something to me about how much better our church looks! Thats when I decided to do Lawn Maintenance full time (and since I'm homeschooled now :D )

That hill that you mow "The Lawn Boy Pro" seems to be alot to mow for such a small lawn mower. Can't you use your MTD?? Or any other piece of equipment to mow that, raise the deck up when you know your gonna hit a sprinkler head or something? Just seems like alot of work for such a small mower, plus it looks like you gotta bag that as well. Just my thought.
As far as getting landscaping pictures, I think you should look into the landscaping forum on the site and do a search, their's tons of pic's there I believe.
Matt
BTW- paponte nice job with the landscaping and the way you made the pictures look.

I think I'd let the old Scag give it a try anyway! It has a third anti scalp wheel. Or I could use the Toro RER it has a full width deck roller...

Since when can you not read the word volunteers and since when did BushHogBoy say it was profesional. He said it was all he had at the time!
Why the attitude? I guarantee you that you don't talk to your customers like that or you would be out of business. Sometimes I think it makes people feel better about their own insecurities and problems by flaming someone else.

This isn't a landscaping pic. Just a 8' by 12' be 2' high raised garden garden I built for one of my customers. (before it was filed 7 yards if dirt)
The picture also shows nice white vinyl fencing.

I'll bet the garden will look great, all filled with plants. If vegetables will be grown in it, isn't there a concern about chemicals from the wood tainting the food? I'm not saying it'll get into the veggies, I'm just wondering if any studies or tests have been done.

thats a nice looking raised garden, crawdad makes a good point though. i think p.t. pine has arsenic in it doesnt it? i'm anxious to here some feedback on this. for now, just make sure you get the check before they eat any of the veggies! ~scaper~:D

Well
I did already get the check:D
It is for a vegetable garden. I would think that the soil would be a natural filter for most contaminants. but I really don't know.
I have seen these timbers used on vegetable gardens before though, and i've never heard anything negative about it.
I will ask the local extension agent if they have heard of any problems with treated lumber and vegetables.
As much as treated lumber is used in all kinds of construction these days I would doubt that it can be toxic.
I will try to get another pic now that it is filled with nice black loam.
Here's one we did that turned out well.

paul, p.t. fence and timbers around my veggies for last ten years, thats why i was wondering. i dont think it's hurt us, though last year we did have two large tomatos grow together into one gigantic mutant siamese tomato:eek: let me know what you find out from extention office. i'd like to see those pics too ~scaper:)
