Dito on the site kick butt and dito on needin help on fert prices. I was just bidding 30$ I mostly have residentials but am gonna be in trouble if i bid 30$ for my two acre field. hehe

$25.00 + $3.00/1000 sq. ft.

So:

5,000 sq. ft. lawn would be $25.00 + $15.00 = $40.00

10,000 sq. ft. lawn would be $25.00 + $30.00 = $55.00

etc.

I do similar to Lazer, but I have a lower per 1000 charge. I figure my material cost per thousand for each app, then average it over the # of apps.

I take that average #, and mark it up 15% for my handeling of the material.

I measure the turf area, and mutiply it by the square foot material price. I then add my labor charge, a minimum of $25, ranging to a high of $45 for a large residential.

I do it this way because if the lawn has hills, lots of obstacles, requires prior notification... I can add it into the labor price.

Two lawns can be the same square footage, but take different times to complete.

I just give the customer the bottom line.
