View Full Version : Aerator maintenance
I've been put in charge of maintaining 12 aerators for the next month and a half. These machines will do anywhere from 10-30 residential lawns a day, 7 days a week. 2 of them are brand new, 3 of them are about 3 years old, and 7 of them are rentals (look fairly new).
oil change interval?
spark plug?
anything else?

Depends on brand-
Ryans need greased daily. Very important for bearing life.
Keep an eye on chain tension, oil chain at oil change.
I change oil at 25hrs-check gear reduction case oil level
plug at 100
at oil change check/clean air filter, inspect drive belt.
Also if using the Ryan 4 you will want to keep a spare throttle cable on hand.

Awesome Bob, the rentals are all Ryans. Do the throttle cables break easily?
