i have a trailer that i need to wire it has electric breaks on one axle it had a 6 wire but all of the wires are torn off is any where i can get a diagram or just some advise on how to do this should i stick with the 6 wire or should i go with the 7 wire.

The 7 wire is for auxillary lighting (like an inside light for an enclosed trailer, or some other accersory). Try this......

Try drawtite.com they sell brakecontrollers. On their web site you can print out the diagrams for 6 way and 7 way trailer set-ups and others. I use their controllers on all my trucks and have been happy with them. The web site has a lot of other good info and is easy to navigate. Good luck.
