I plan on redoing an entier landscape, and the customer want all deer sfe plantings. Any ideas which plants/shrubs are deer proof? Also any ideas on how to simply keep the deer away from your flower beds, other than open season? All help is appriciated and thank you in advance for all of your help.

Deer are like goats- they will eat any thing esp with the winter that we had this year. If they have a choice they will choose not to eat certain plants, BUT..... A simple electric fence will always keep them out. Joel

I would stick in a few plants that have small thorns on them such as a few varieties of barberry mixed with other plants to discourage deer from getting near the other plants.
