At first I didn't believe this, but it is true.
Just go to your local drug store's camera department
(Walmart, Eckerd, CVS, etc.) and ask if you can have
some of their used AA batteries. They get tons of them
out of disposable cameras these days,
and have them just laying around.
I can get enough batteries for the whole neighborhood
if I wanted them. I also ask for their AAA batteries
for use in my pager. They are all alkaline
and as good as new.
Give it a try, and you'll never buy another
AA or AAA battery again!
