This just goes to the addage: Some people are born with a knack to do certain things. This, my friend, is no doubt one of her knacks. You really don't have to bs us though, to impress us. I understand if she's been doing this awhile. That's cool! :D (it's only obvious!) ;) She's STILL good! Also, incidentally, and not to get personal here, or anything,... but is that her in your avatar? Or is that your daughter or something....:)
You take care, keep up the great work, and have a GREAT season!

Nice work!

Nice equipment!

Just looking at your deck pitch though! Looks a little extreme, no? Looks like in the picuture it is close to a 1/2" front deck pitch.

Back it down to 1/8 to 1/4" and you'll be amazed at how much better the cut is!

Good Luck!

runner ,i didnt say it was here first try i said it was her first stripes and she is a newby .She been working with me two weeks now.Guess i should have said her first outstanding stripes.

She's 46 mother of 7 month old twins grandmother and looks like she is 25 lol.And that is no mean feat to do being married into a clan of moron scots lol .

TLS I checked the pitch two weeks ago with the deere deck level tool .Then is was set right on 1/4 inch.

But this week end i'll give it another check.I got rpms on 3750 no load.

Those were cut single notched excaliber hi lifts side discharge.

Sweetness- thanks! Your wife's stripes look great too! I have a 32" gate mower if you haven't seen it hehe... it's my old Toro rear engine rider turned into a walk behind! It lays some good stripes and cuts pretty nicely.
I have the sulky on in that pic but rarely will use the sulky, more of a pain when turning than it's worth and the mower is too light to pull it well. I have since made the mower look alittle better also (cut off that tower/control panel) and am getting bigger casters for front.

Lookin great. You are a lucky man. Is she working with you all the time now?

I remember that you get to cut about 3 weeks sooner than I do up here. Those lawns are GREEN. I am still socked with spring cleaning and thatchings.

Whos watchin the little bambinos when you 2 are out on the lawns?

I also work for my wife on the lawns and we have 3 girls. I think that when they get to be old enough to work with us I will get 4 Z's and paint them pink. I'll probably be in a wheelchair by then at the pace I am goin. :p

We starting our second week mowing heavy. My wife mows 4 days a week with me.Only thing all day yak yak yak yak she talks so fast and never quit's yaking lol .The bambinos were being kept by my mom but she had a emphysema attack so now three of our nieces alternate keeping em 4 days a week.I wouldnt trust anybody but family with takeing care of them .All the other stuff like fert, bushes and heavy work i do on the weekends my self.

Thats a good idea about getting those pink ztr's lol.Im gonna get mine twin exmarks when they get old enough.

I would like a photo of the SCAG also. I need to see the caster wheel placement so I can compare it to my fixed deck (dealer has none in stock).
I am trying to decide between Scag Hydro Floater 36", and fixed deck 36". My concern with the Scag floater is that the caster wheels might be further out toward the edge of the deck and might make it more difficult in tight situations. A picture of yours would be really helpful (front photo).

Any comments about mowing tight areas with that mower? Would you choose the floater again or fixed deck? FYI- The floater is 4" longer than the fixed.

Some great looking work. I would never take my wife out to work with me as it would end in divorce and she would only put 15-20 minutes worth of work.
