Hey guys I didn't see the replys sorry for the delay.
I'm work mostly in Tulsa, but I try to work wherever the work is.
I live in Claremore, and have some accounts in Claremore.
I'm trying to do this full time after getting laid off from my job.
prices I will give a mor detailed reply when I'm not so tired, but what I'm aiming for is $50.00 per hour on all my work if trimming hedges takes me an hour I want 50.00 bucks. Just as an example.

I am interested in knowing if anyone from Oklahoma does snow plowing and if so what equipment you use and how you charge. I realize that this should probably be a question on plowsite.com but I wasn't sure if any of you went to that site.
Also, how large are your businesses???? Are you a solo operator or do you have employees. Just tell your story about your business.
Please...:p

I run three crews in NW OKC and Edmond. 2 mowing crews, and a "go do whatever needs to be done crew".
I am mostly high end residential, but will soon be moving up to larger commercial props.
After 7 years of business I was able to put over $25,000 down payment on a home. I plan on having all of the things I want in life by working hard, and saving money. Mowing lawns in Oklahoma.
My crews require no supervision. This is a huge benefit. They just get after it. I am then able to manage the business in ways that I couldnt normally do if I was holding a weed eater all day.
Full blown landscaping is my main goal. Possibly to open a nursery or some type of garden center.

I would like to hear from any of you guys who may be close by and who would be willing to share some of you experiences, and help a guy get started!
Thanks in Advance!

I wondered if there were any okies around this site. I have been in business for 11years and I have found that 40. per man hour for mowing is about average. A little more for hedges and leaf work. I also do snow plowing, mostly for commercial properties, and we are able to charge 120 to 150 per hour depending on which pieces of equipment we use. We work mostly in the tulsa and surrounding area. I see most of you are in other parts. Good to hear from you guys. Im glad to help anyone with what experiences I have learned from over the years, and always open to new ideas.

We are passing through Oklahoma on the way to a Show in Las Vegas this week and then again the following week.
Who are the top commercial equipment dealers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa?
We are looking to setup a few dealers in Oklahoma to carry our line of power seeders.
Thanks
David
I didnt realize there were this many Okies on here. Wow. Im impressed. Ponca City here guys. Like I said before, I started mowing because I couldn't get a decent job anywhere after spending 4 years in prison. I've been doing it for about 3 years now and have really "came up" financially. In the past I always lived paycheck to paycheck. Now ive got a $43,000 07' Dodge that I bought brand new last year, a Scag, a Bad Boy, 2 trailers, a work truck, all echo handhelds, and make good money. What I like most is working for myself. Anyway, that's my story. Let's keep this thread going...

Ya know if somebody did start a snowplowing company down there they might just be the only ones with a snow plow on the front of their truck. If a flake ( just one snow flake) falls, the state shuts down. But it might make money IF it ever snowed enough to plow. :)
