I have that thing that says OHV on my mower smoking. I think some of the paint from the muffler got on it. It appears to be coming from the bottom. I don't know if it's the muffler when I painted it (not thinking) or it's just not good.
Any suggestions of what this is would be greatly appreciated.

That is the Over Head Valve (OHV) cover which covers the valves that let fuel and air into the engine and let the exhaust out of it. It sounds like the gasket for the cover is not tight enough and the gasket is letting alittle oil/smoke drip through. Just check that they are snug with a wrench or socket. Don't tighten them real hard just snug them down. If they are loose that was your problem likely if they are snug and tight already then you either need a new gasket (easy change) or it's your paint drift (doubtful, the gasket cover doesn't get THAT hot).
