Can I replace the standard spindle bearings with a sealed blade spindle assembly instead...I run a 52" Viking Hydro, # S/N 90,000 & up...the center assembly is part # 1-402006, the right & left side #'s are 1-302030...

Thanks for the post.

You can update your unit.

You'll need 1 of p/n 103-2547 ($82 each) cutter housing update kit and 3 of 1-323545-01 ($9 each) spacer plates. The spacer plates just ensure that you maintain the correct cutting height as described in your original manual.

While your updating the bearings and housings this would be a good time to closely inspect the spindle shafts to ensure they were straight and in good condition.
