Chipper/Shredder recommendation?

Hi all, looking for a chipper/shredder recommendation. Looking to chip branches 3-4", for it to last a long time, and to spend no more than $1000.

Home Depot has an MTD 10 hp Tekumpsa for around $650, and a local dealer has what he calls more of a commercial unit, which I believe is a Bear Cat - it's vertically oriented (which I really like for the smaller footprint), but it's got just a 6.5 hp Briggs.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

MacKissic has their equipment in a lot of rental shops. It seems to be well built small equipment. Don't know price ranges but here is the site.

BTW, I have used Mac tillers and the stump grinder but not their chippers.

Mackissic is a great chipper/shredder. Very durable and well worth it. Alot of gov't agencies use them as well as rentals around here. You can't go wrong with the Mighty Mac stuff.
