grass is growin- next steps?

OK- the new grass is a growing ( along with everything else)
With the help of some good rain most of the seed has grown in nice- What should I apply next? The grass is growing but so is a lot of crabgrass, weeds etc.... When can I add something to thicken the lawn without hurting new grass and what should I add?

After you've cut it 3-4 times you may spray for weeds. Mow it high, minimum of 3"

Use a Pre-Emergent next spring to eliminate new weeds from coming in.

For chemicals that you can buy, go to hime depot and buy the Lesco brand. They have weed and feeds and great fertilizers.

Crab Grass use MSMA. For nutshedge use image. both avail at home depot.
