I built a dry stack stone wall/planter,15'X4'X1 1/2'.It's going to be filled with soil and plantings. What do I use to prevent the soil from coming through the gaps between the stones? Thanks,BASIC

That's a tough question. Landscape fabric only works as long as there isn't any kind of organic material or sediment in front of it or on top of it. That is, if you put down sand, then put down LS Fab. then put down clean river rock on top of the fabric, you will have effective weed control. But if you were to put mulch or soil or even 3/4 minus gravel on top of the LS Fab. then you're screwed! Weeds can and will grow on a little spec of sediment inside the crack of a sidewalk. How much more will they grow in some new soil?
So keep this in mind when using LS Fabric. If there won't be anything on top of or in front of the fabric you'll be okay.
Otherwise, you'll probably have to tell the owners that weeds are going to be inevitable in these areas and that a certain degree of maintenance (periodic spraying) is to be expected. Nothing wrong with that.
