I have a Woods 44" ztr mower that is side discharging, not bagging.

The blades are super old and look dull as anything.

I want to get new ones.

Looking thru the JThomas catalogue, I have choices of:

Offset, Hi-Lift, Contour Shape, Mulching, or Hi-Lift Mulching.

(I'm looking under Grasshopper as I know they are inter-changeable with the Woods)

What's my best choice for blades for spring growth on this mower, and are there blades I should switch to during the heat of the summer?

I'm THINKING of picking up the pair of Hi-lift mulching blades for now, and regular Hi-lifts for the summer. Is that correct or do I have it backwards?

Thanks!

Check out www.oregonchain.com/OEP/index.htm They list a 91-545 high lift and a 90-173 Gator blade. I would use the high lift now and try the Gator this summer when the grass slows down. The Gator would be good for leaf mulching in the fall too.
