touch up question

I have been scrapping the underside of my deck, sometimes when the grass comes off also comes some paint.

How hard would it be to disconnect the deck from the mower, so that I could stand it up and clean it better?

If I can get it off and stand it on it's end, should I use some touch up paint and repaint the part of the deck where the paint came off? I just don't want the deck to rust.

The deck is fairly easy to unhook from the tractor, but it wieghs a lot !!!
I would use a jack or chainfall to get it all the way up if I wanted to paint the underside of the deck.
If you are going to repaint it, I would clean it real good and sand it down and apply some primer then paint it what ever color I desired.
