I am noticing something around my neighborhood which isn't all that good.

I really don't like cutting grass all that much, that's probably why I gave up all my lawn accounts over the past couple years. I fertilize my lawn maybe once every other year or so, and do no pest management except for a Merit treatment which I HAVE to do in the next couple of weeks. Now there are lawns on my block which are much greener, and healthier than mine is. However the problem is that once I get done mowing my lawn each week, it looks the best on the whole block, even when compared to the ones which are commercially maintained and are on fertility programs.

The guy who mows across the road from my house leaves a HUGE mess all over the lawn when he is done with those 2 houses, clippings and debris all over the place, the guy next to me... really nice guy, but he mows too low and doesn't make any kind of pattern. Corner house which is fertilized they don't blow the clippings off the road :dizzy: I could go on... but I won't.

Does anybody else have the same problem I do?

Yes,

Most of the lawns around here are cut to the LOWEST setting possible and look like **** because the lawn is dead within a few weeks later. The ones that are maintained profesinally are the ones that have CLUMPS and are left looking like he!!

I am tried of people wasting their money on these "bargin" LMO's

If I did a job where I charged less it was for a reason and I spent as much time as it took to keep it looking it's best.

Most "nice" neighborhoods make me sick. To me they are public housing projects for the $30,000 - $60,000 annual income range.

Everyone up in everyone else's business.

I am seriously considering moving to a large property, then digging a moat around the outer ring, with booby traps all over the place. Motion sensors, listening devices, 10' deep pitfalls in the "driveway" covered with leaves to catch trespass vehicles and the sheriff if he trys to drive up, and of course, enough firepower to sink Hawaii into the ocean.

I have found that 90% of homeowners would have a 100% better looking lawn if they would simply mow higher.

It's a common problem to mow way to low.

Here we have a street where I swear the neighbors are in competition to see who can cut the grass the shortest.

So many homes with lawns yellow-green and always cut down to 2" or so.

That is where you are absolutely wrong. They are NOT being cared for, just mowed.

I have a neighbor who just hired another LCO to cut his yard. Thats all he got, was a cut. Looks like a hay field over there.

I would be so embarrassed to leave a place like that.

But then again I am one of only a few that actually CARE for the lawn's I look after.
