while mowing a lawn, i have my hearing protection on, and going back and forth, back and forth, gives u lots of time to think. what do you think about? personally , with sweat pouring off my balding head, and green boots, going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, i tend to think about every single mistake ive ever made in my life. so what do u think about?

well....i have a pair of elvex with the radio, so most of the time i just enjoy the music. i tend to also think a lot about my life like you stated, and where i want to go with it. definately lots of time to think. i must look pretty stupid when a good song comes on and i sing to it.

My little girls;
Keeping my line straight;
Putting on another squirt of sunblock;
The hottie I saw walk around the corner of the house next door;
Man, I need another gulp of water;
The hottie I saw walk around the corner of the house next door;
Is that spot near the ditch soft enough to get stuck in?;
That switch in the wind is going to make the fishing good;
Will that wind switch rain me out tomorrow?;
The hottie I saw walk around the corner of the house next door
:) :) :)

Man I listen to talk radio from 6am to 7pm. Sometimes local sports talk. Weekends oldies. Mostly I am praying that nothing breaksdown and that it doesn't rain before I finish. Outside of that I just enjoy the day. Moving inot a new house in two weeks and have been thinking of that mess.

I think about the money I'm making. No other reason to be out there.

Why do I have this account, it's such a dump.

Man I'm glad I have this account, it looks so great when i'm done, and not bad before I started either.

Try to think of something nice to say to this grumpy guy if he ever comes out (I hope he doesn't come out) Oh I'm glad his RV is gone! Alright now I can enjoy mowing instead of worrying about him coming out.

I think about the next mower I'm getting and how much better it will be :p ;)

Man I hate this yard, it's always a swamp. I wonder where I'll get stuck today?

Man I love this yard, it looks so great. Even better, the customer never complains and always compliments me!

Why is the gate locked? I'm always here at the same time every day every week!

And you didn't have my money why? $25, you don't have $25?

You work for minimum wage as much overtime as possible so you can hire me? OoooKaaaayyy........ hey I'm not complaining :)

Your lazy son won't mow this why? He's like 21 and still living at home. Some people :rolleyes:

man I love this mower!

I wish I had put the doubles on today, I really needed them.

I'm glad I put the doubles on today, what would I do without them?

Why do I always have problems at this one account?

Why did I underbid this? I could've got more, shame on me.

I'm glad they're a good tipper, helps make up for the underbid.

I'm tired of cheap nitpickers.

I'm glad I lost those three cheap nitpickers. I'm so much happier without them.

Why does this dumb edger always pack up with mud and stall just when i'm 5' from being done?

Why did the dumb trimmer run out of line just when I'm 20' from being done, but 1/4 mile from the trailer?

My sunglasses where are they?

Couldn't they have found a better variety of weed to seed this dump with?

And why couldn't they at least level it with a dozer :rolleyes:

Whats with this gravel in the GRASS? They have a blacktop drive....

I hate clean concrete perfectly white sidewalks, they NEVER come clean and why can I not avoid driving on them here?

I wish I had my license.

I'm glad I'm not that scrub across the street.

I hate when they mow throwing grass 3' into the road like that! Idiots!

How can that homeowner live with 1' tall weeds around everything and overgrown edges? Grass all over the drive and street too! Its so repulsive.

I'm glad I'm done for the day. Oh wait now I gotta mow my yard. Then I'm going to shower and go to bed, after eating of course.

Business stuff - how great it is, how tough its been
My art and woodworking
long list of stuff that needs to be done
But mostly I keep the radio or books on tape on to keep my brain from yapping at me all day about the above or anything else.
And as I'm finishing up and will be heading home soon thoughts turn to XXX

"The hottie I saw walk around the corner of the house next door"
and for the next hour I wish I was 19 again

Whatever I am thinking about at the time, good or bad, doesn't really matter but I am always thankful to be able to be outside working.
I wear earplugs and a radio so I am just listening to tunes most of the times.
I must say that when the batteries die on the radio I always seem to hear circus music.:D

Its therapy.

Mostly, I just try and pay attention to what I'm doing. If it's a big lawn, usually my mind starts to wonder and I start thinking about business issues. Lately, alot of thinking is about when it's gonna starting raining again (which for us in NJ), has been just about every day now for the month of May.

And then sometimes I will think of things we can do to streamline things and make us more efficient in getting things done.

How many messages will be on the phone when I get back to the truck.

(for entertainment try singing in the highest voice possible and bouncing back and forth on the mower whenever someone walks by on the road:D ---works even better with two or three of us singing to the same song on the radio from different parts of the lawn)*only happens on good days

I like sinign to myself, it helps seem like I get the job done faster. Second, I usually think of the quality of work I'm providing on this customer's yard. Third, I always find time to think about GIRLS! :D And how much money my girlfriend is taking away from my paycheck, buit hey she's worth it for all the stuff she's gone through for me.

I think about how can I do this faster, better, cheaper. I also think how can I improve on this piece of equipment to make it better? Then I can't wait to try some of the ideas out when I'm done. I also think of different inventions to do the job better. I have several patents pending.

I wonder why geese poop is green.

I wonder why geese chicks are green

I have to scratch my nuts.

Is that a rock.

It looks like a potato.

YEEAAAOOOWWW.

I wonder if a blade is bent.

I wonder who mows the grass at a nudist camp.

Do you have to be nude.

The sun feels hotter today than it did when I was a kid.

Did that lady across the street see me scratch my nuts.

I wonder if she owns a bikini.

I can never get straight lines.

I look cool on my sulky.

I think I would get fat if I owned a ztr.

I really need a ztr.

Sing to a tune on the Worktunes......

Wish I could get my station here... oh well, sing to a tune in my head.

Glad I put the doubles on.... I'd be here all day!!!

Poor Ba$t@&d next door needs doubles..... he's gonna be there all day!

Hope the customer realizes that his lawn was a jungle before I started.

Hope it doesn't start raining again.

......oh great.... it's raining again.

How could someone spend $600,000 on a home with a lawn as smooth as a cornfield????

Glad they spent $600,000 on the home..... my fee's nothing to them.

I'm tired of moving the darn tennis ball out of the way every week.

How far will that tennis ball go if I "dont see it"???

......................

Finally......... Looks Good! I'm outta here!:D

Alex drive a golf car with steel mesh or expanded sheet body! I've seen tractors with reel mowers pulled behind them setup with expanded metal cabs.

I wonder how fast I can do it this time.

Boy the grass sure grows quick here.

Da*n, it's gonna rain yet again!

I Love my Exmark Mulch kit.

Boy I'm glad I have a 32" for now, a 36" would never get thru this back gate.

She's a nice lady, she tips me an extra $5 every time I cut! She's great.

I can't stand her, I really need to drop this account. It's underpriced, she doesn't even want to pay that, and is way too picky for how long this takes.

How many calls will be on the cell phone in the truck.

I wonder what my wifes doing right about now.

Boy today is going quicker than I thought it would.

I wish I had a bigger machine for these open areas.

And I always sing along with my worktunes.. With the mower on the customer can't hear me and it sure makes the day go by alot quicker.

Are my workers really handicapped? Cause that would explain a lot.
I think they screw up just to spite me.
I hope there are not a lot of messages at home.
