I'm going to be buying an new trailer VERY soon so I figured I'd ask and see what everyone else has. Looking for info on size and any options you have (love them or hate them). I am leaning to-wards a 6.5X16 ft tandem (open) with 7000lb GVW & a re-enforced ramp gate Looking at Big Tex brand since its the closest dealer around. Will be used mainly for hauling mowers, occasionally for a small Kubota or Skid Steer. Pics of your set up would be great.

Go with a 7' wide trailer. They are only a little more money and make it a lot easier to haul a tractor or skidsteer.
I paid 1900.00 for a 7' x 18', 14,000# capacity, with skidsteer ramps. I then paid a welding shop 200.00 to build a 5' expanded metal tailgate ramp that is removeable. When hauling mowers, I use the 5' ramp. When hauling a tractor or skidsteer, I use the two heave duty ramps that came with the trailer.:)

If you want to haul around a skid steer or tractor from time to time, get something with at LEAST an 8,000 lb GVW. I have a 7,000 lb GVW landscape trailer and it got screwed up GOOD by moving a skid steer ONCE!

Mulch, topsoil, just about whatever. The sides really come in handy during the leaf season, I put a tarp over the top, and fill it up.

7 X 14 ft open trailer with 4 ft sides for mowers/hauling brush etc

16 ft tandem 12000lb trailer for hauling the bobcat or picking up heavy loads.

I am hoping to get a 14 ft tandem enclosed trailer for the mowing equipment next year.

Make sure you get a 5ft gate. Mowers scrape on a 4ft.

I have two big tex trailers. I have a dark grey 6x10 dump trailer with the barn doors and ramps that go underneath the deck. This trailer has two 5,200 lb axels so it will carry quite a load. I picked it up this week and it is so nice. I also have a 7x18 big tex landscape trailer with 4 foot metal sides and the box and racks. It is a great trailer for doing maintenance and pulls great.

I just got a new BIG TEX 6.5x12 Vanguard Trailer

The Vanguard is the one with the 2.5 ft soluid sides.

Just started building a box for the front of the trailer. Will post pics when I am done.

I am building the box 24" off the floor and it is a 2*6.5 box

The top of the box it level with the top of the ramp at the rear of the trailer.

Will use a tarp to cover some of the equipment during the rain.
