generac 30 fuel consumption

my 30 hp generac on adixie is using 3 gallons an hour it is also using some oil anyone with a similar problem ????? thanks!!!

The guys around here complain alot about the fuel consumption, also there have been reliabilty issues with that mower.

The Generac Guardian GT990 engine is 992 cc's, compared to other twins on the market it is 267 cc's larger than its nearest air-cooled competitor, that's 36.8% larger. If you use the engine to its capabilities you can expect to burn more fuel per hour. What is important is the increased acres per hour production. The GT990 can consume up to 3.1 gal/hr. when run at full load.
